Large French Gilt Mantle, circa 1890 18th century (circa 1710 ) English palatial fine marquetry month going long case clock by Peter Garon of London. Peter Garon London of St. Bartholomew’s Lane and later St Giles , Cripplegate. Apprenticed in 1687 as a member of the Clockmakers Company 1694- 1723 . He was made bankrupt in 1709. He was later joined in a new business with his son from 1713-23.
